1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how FundVett LLC (“FundVett,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use fundvett.com (the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

 

This policy is available in English and Spanish. Both versions are equally legally binding.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

 

  • Funding request forms: Name, email address, phone number, business name, business details (industry, time in business, monthly revenue), funding amount requested, and funding purpose.
  • Specialist applications: Company name, business email address, contact information, years of experience, deal history descriptions, and profile information.
  • Payment information (specialists only): Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. FundVett does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Communications: Information you send us by email or through the Platform.

 

Information collected automatically:

 

  • Device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, time on site, and referral source, collected through cookies and similar technologies including HubSpot tracking tools and Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

 

  • Match business owners with funding specialists and affiliate partners;
  • Share funding requests with specialists and affiliate partners as described below;
  • Process specialist subscription payments through Stripe;
  • Send transactional emails (confirmations, notifications) through Brevo;
  • Manage our customer relationships in HubSpot, our CRM platform;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Communicate with you about your requests, applications, and our services.

4. How We Share Your Information

With funding specialists: When you submit a funding request, your information may be shared with one or more vetted funding specialists listed in our directory so they can contact you about your request.

 

With affiliate partners: Your funding request information may be shared with our affiliate partners, including Advance Funds Network (AFN), GoKapital, and Credit Suite. If you obtain funding through an affiliate partner, FundVett may earn a referral fee.

 

With service providers: We use third-party services to operate the Platform:

 

  • HubSpot — CRM, forms, and marketing tools. Lead and contact data is stored and processed in HubSpot.
  • Stripe — payment processing for specialist subscriptions.
  • Brevo — transactional email delivery.
  • Google Analytics — website analytics.
  • SiteGround — website hosting.

 

Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

 

Business transfers: If FundVett is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

 

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We share lead information with specialists and affiliate partners as a core function of our matching service, as disclosed at the point of collection. California residents: see Section 9 for how this sharing is treated under the CCPA.

5. Consent to Be Contacted (TCPA)

By providing your phone number through any form on the Platform, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages — including through automated technology or prerecorded messages — from FundVett, matched funding specialists, and affiliate partners regarding your funding request. Consent is not a condition of service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or email info@fundvett.com. Opting out with one party does not automatically opt you out with other parties who have already received your information; you may need to opt out with each party separately.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies, including:

 

  • HubSpot cookies — form tracking, visitor identification, and analytics;
  • Google Analytics — traffic and usage measurement;
  • Essential cookies — required for Platform functionality.

 

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some Platform features. Where required, we display a cookie consent notice allowing you to accept or manage non-essential cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Lead data in HubSpot is retained while it remains relevant to our matching and referral operations. You may request deletion of your data as described in Sections 9 and 10.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including secure hosting, HTTPS encryption, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

 

  • Right to Know — request details about the personal information we collect, use, and share;
  • Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — our disclosure of lead information to specialists and affiliate partners in exchange for referral fees may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. You have the right to opt out of this disclosure;
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

 

To exercise any of these rights, email info@fundvett.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

10. Additional Privacy Rights (GDPR Basics)

FundVett serves the United States market, including Puerto Rico and U.S. territories. If you access the Platform from the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal bases for processing include consent, contract performance, and legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, contact info@fundvett.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Privacy Policies

Specialists, lenders, and affiliate partners who receive your information are independent companies with their own privacy policies. Once your information is shared with them as described in this policy, their handling of your information is governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of AFN, GoKapital, Credit Suite, and any specialist you engage with.

13. Accessibility

FundVett is committed to digital accessibility and includes the UserWay accessibility widget on the Platform. If you have difficulty accessing this policy or any part of the Platform, contact info@fundvett.com for assistance.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the Platform.
